About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at SCA Care. As a Specialist Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with additional needs to live a meaningful and happy life.
Our ideal candidate will be empathetic, resilient, and able to communicate effectively with vulnerable people and their families. You will have experience of complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and mental health support. Your ability to develop techniques to calm and de-escalate situations is essential, as well as your willingness to learn and gain relevant qualifications.
The purpose of this role is to empower the individual to identify their goals, pursue hobbies, and maintain good health and wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with the customer's family and other healthcare professionals to provide person-centred care that promotes independence and confidence.
This is a full-time position, working across the week and weekends. Part-time hours can also be considered. A valid driving licence and business insurance policy are required, as you will need to travel to the individual's home in Totton.
In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes paid day off on your birthday, six weeks' paid holiday, excellent Refer a Friend bonus scheme, and access to a comprehensive training package. We also provide free branded workwear and lanyard, as well as a free Blue Light Card offering discounts in stores and online.
If you are passionate about making a difference in someone's life, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity. Please note that an Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for this role, which will be obtained for you by SCA Care.
