Assistant Headteacher

The Assistant Headteacher will play a key role in supporting the Headteacher in leading the school and ensuring the delivery of high-quality education to our students. This will involve working closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement the school's strategic plan, as well as providing guidance and support to teachers and other staff members.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Lead the development of teaching and learning strategies to improve student outcomes
- Manage and develop the Early Career Teacher (ECT) programme
- Monitor, evaluate, and assess student progress across the school
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote inclusion and equality
- Support the Headteacher in leading the school improvement and self-evaluation planning process
The Assistant Headteacher will be responsible for developing and implementing an ambitious vision and ethos for the future of the school. This will involve working closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive school improvement plan, as well as promoting a culture of inclusion and diversity within the school community.
Leading Teaching and Learning:- Be an excellent role model and promote high expectations for all members of the school community
- Work with the Headteacher to raise standards through staff performance management
- Lead the development of a differentiated curriculum, including planning, recording, and reporting
- Support the delivery of strategy and ensure management decisions are implemented
- Support the development of collaborative approaches to learning within the school and beyond
- Support the induction of staff new to the school
- Support the induction coordinator for NQTs and have responsibility for students on teaching practice and those undertaking work experience
- Lead regular reviews of all school systems to ensure statutory requirements are being met
- Ensure the effective dissemination of internal information
- Support HR management and other leadership processes as appropriate
- Lead and support the staff and governing body in fulfilling their responsibilities
- Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
- Work with the Headteacher in developing policies and practices that promote inclusion, equality, and extended services
- Develop and maintain contact with specialist support services
- Promote the positive involvement of parents and carers in school life
