Building Surveyor / Project Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor / Project Manager to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on construction, contract, and cost aspects of building surveying work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of existing buildings, identifying defects and providing expert advice on maintenance, repair, and refurbishment strategies.
  • Lead building surveying projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.
  • Prepare specifications, obtain tenders, and prepare contract documents.
  • Provide advice to clients and junior team members on effective approaches to procurement.
  • Contract administration, valuation, and certification, including chairing meetings with associated document preparation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic guidance on properties, dilapidations, party wall matters, and other building-related issues.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

  • MRICS status or working towards.
  • Extensive experience in Building Surveying within the construction industry, with project-based works experience being ideal.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, ideally with a private consultancy background.
  • Valid UK driving license.
