Job Title: Literacy Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Literacy Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and has experience working with children in an educational setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist skills and knowledge to ensure that pupils and students who have literacy-related special educational needs or other needs affecting literacy make progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ongoing literacy assessments of pupils and students
• Plan, prepare, and deliver literacy learning programmes
• Monitor the pupils/students by assessing, recording, and reporting on their achievements, progress, and development

Requirements:

• Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting is essential
• Strong literacy skills are required
• Able to sit a literacy test as part of the interview process

Salary: £28,258 - £30,294 per annum (dependent on experience)
