Mechanical Engineering Technician - Crane Industry

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team in the crane industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of client cranes and lifting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission and maintain client cranes and lifting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct regular inspections and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with site staff to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for all jobs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.

Requirements:

  • Serviced apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical/Hydraulic Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in the crane industry.
  • Experience with Liebherr, Gottwald, and other cranes is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid UK/Ireland driving licence.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 per annum
