Senior Marine Engineer

Carnival Corporation and plc is seeking a highly skilled Decarbonisation Senior Marine Engineer to join our team in Southampton. As a key member of our Corporate Shipbuilding team, you will play a pivotal role in leading our efforts towards sustainable marine engineering.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position based primarily in our Southampton office, with a hybrid working scheme requiring a minimum of three days a week on-site. You will be responsible for:
- Staying informed on the latest developments within the decarbonisation and fuel disciplines, implementing these advancements on board our vessels.
- Playing an integral role in the design and development of new vessels, including negotiating specifications and associated documents with builders, contractors, and brands.
- Providing, managing, and applying technical expertise in marine engineering decarbonisation to the design, construction, and conversion of passenger vessels, as well as to the operation of the existing fleet.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Proven experience in cruise shipbuilding environments.
- Expertise in the design of LNG fueled ships or significant experience as a decarbonisation engineer or expert.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate independently with external parties, including shipbuilders, suppliers, and classification societies.
