Geography Educator

Key Responsibilities:

At Academics, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our progressive and dynamic secondary school community. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in engaging students with the world around them, helping them understand complex geographical concepts and human-environment interactions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and comprehensive geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, adapting to the needs of students with varying abilities. They will also be expected to teach a broad range of topics, including physical geography (e.g., climate, landforms) and human geography (e.g., urbanisation, globalisation), ensuring students develop a deep understanding of key concepts.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. They will also have experience teaching geography at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4. Additionally, they will have strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and relevant exam specifications (GCSE, A-Level).
