Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (DoE)


Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for producing high-quality tender submissions tailored to individual customer requirements. Your role will involve managing the end-to-end bid process, responding to various bid types, proactively searching for potential bids, and collaborating with departments across the business.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Managing the entire bid process, including EOIs, RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for bidding
  • Collaborating with stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Energy Services teams
  • Creating engaging written proposals that showcase company services
  • Ensuring timely submission of tenders and proposals
  • Maintaining knowledge of best practice methodologies and industry developments
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a bidding environment
  • Strong understanding of best practice bidding methodologies
  • Experience in the energy or utilities sector
  • Familiarity with public sector frameworks and consortia purchasing mechanisms
  • Strategic planning and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven success in managing high-profile tenders
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team
