The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled professional to join their Estates Service as a Water Hygienist. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to provide expert advice and assurance on all matters of Water Safety, ensuring the needs and expectations of all stakeholders are met.

This role will support the General Manager of Estates & Facilities, providing services in line with relevant legislation, regulation, and guidance. The successful candidate will work closely with Estates colleagues and client teams across the Trusts and its partner organisations, contributing to the overall management of Water Safety projects, policies/procedures, and improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include acting as Appointed Person for water, chairing Water Safety Group meetings, and providing support to the General Manager of Estates & Facilities. The post holder must ensure compliance with current statutory requirements, codes of practice, and Trust policies and procedures, including the Regulatory Reform (Water Safety) Order 2005, Building Regulations, British Standards, and European Directives.

A competitive salary of £34,465-£41,955 per annum (inclusive of a 15% Recruitment & Retention Premia) reflects the importance of this position.
