Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry South East Midlands. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and day-to-day management and delivery of a larger-scale housing project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and day-to-day management and delivery of a larger-scale housing project.
  • Manage and coordinate site activities, including planning, organizing, and controlling resources to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers, site managers, and other departments, as well as external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, and maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Monitor and control site costs, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Develop and implement site-specific quality plans to ensure projects meet the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the project surveyor to ensure accurate measurement and valuation of site works.
  • Participate in site meetings, including daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, to ensure effective communication and coordination among site personnel.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records, including site diaries, progress reports, and quality control records.

Requirements

  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Scaffold inspection qualification.
  • Proven experience in site management, construction project coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve site-related issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
