Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and delivering new business opportunities within a defined territory covering the Midlands area and beyond.
This strategic role requires a thorough understanding of the industry, its competitors, and the solutions and services offered by Stobart. The Sales Manager will be expected to develop a pipeline of new business opportunities and ensure a strong knowledge of the market and its trends.
Key Responsibilities:- Active prospecting and securing new business opportunities in line with the company's growth plan
- Building relationships with potential clients and decision-makers, promoting the Stobart brand and its values
- Presenting to potential clients, working with the Head of Sales to develop proposals that meet client needs and objectives
- Attending industry events and conferences to stay informed about market trends and creative developments
- Collaborating with the Head of Sales and wider team to explore new business opportunities and develop campaigns and services
- Proven extensive sales experience and track record within the transport and logistics industry
- Strategic aptitude and ability to develop business plans and proposals
- Business acumen and commercial awareness, with a strong understanding of the industry and its competitors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and present to clients
- IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
