Job Title: Sales Manager

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and delivering new business opportunities within a defined territory covering the Midlands area and beyond.

This strategic role requires a thorough understanding of the industry, its competitors, and the solutions and services offered by Stobart. The Sales Manager will be expected to develop a pipeline of new business opportunities and ensure a strong knowledge of the market and its trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Active prospecting and securing new business opportunities in line with the company's growth plan
  • Building relationships with potential clients and decision-makers, promoting the Stobart brand and its values
  • Presenting to potential clients, working with the Head of Sales to develop proposals that meet client needs and objectives
  • Attending industry events and conferences to stay informed about market trends and creative developments
  • Collaborating with the Head of Sales and wider team to explore new business opportunities and develop campaigns and services
Requirements:
  • Proven extensive sales experience and track record within the transport and logistics industry
  • Strategic aptitude and ability to develop business plans and proposals
  • Business acumen and commercial awareness, with a strong understanding of the industry and its competitors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and present to clients
  • IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
