The role of Senior PHP Developer within one of our cross-functional teams, consisting of 4-6 developers, is an excellent opportunity to expand your expertise.

Our technology stack comprises a custom MVC monolith supported by Laravel microservices. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable systems
  • Conducting code reviews, maintaining coding standards, and collaborating with colleagues
  • Maintaining legacy code while writing modern, greenfield code

We're seeking:

  • Senior-level experience in writing well-architected SOLID PHP 8 code
  • Able to design and build versioned RESTful APIs
  • Understanding of using MySQL at scale
  • Experience with asynchronous programming (we use RabbitMQ and PubSub)
  • Test-driven workflow

We're looking for individuals with prior experience in eCommerce systems, microservice architecture, engineering for cloud environments (we use GCP), NoSQL data stores (we use Couchbase), self-hosted search (we use Solr), and agile software development.

Salary range: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In return for helping us grow, we'll offer company equity, giving you ownership in this business we're working hard to build.
