Position Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Health Addiction Charge Nurse at Ailsa Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive clinical assessment, implementation, and evaluation of treatment and support for individuals experiencing chaotic, harmful illicit drug use within South Ayrshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist interventions, including HIV, Hepatitis B, and C testing, counseling, and support, as well as needle exchange delivery and basic wound care.
- Offer a comprehensive range of physical and asymptomatic sexual health testing, advice, support, and treatment, utilizing best evidence and best practice guidelines.
- Liaise and work in conjunction with partner organizations to provide effective support services.
Requirements:
- First-level Registered General Nurse is essential.
- Experience of working in the field of Addictions is essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of sexual health and blood-borne viruses is essential.
- Superior communication skills are essential.
Working Hours:
37 hours per week - Part-time will be considered.
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
UK driving licence/Car ownership is essential for this role.
