Lead Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at GLG Vets in Exeter. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional veterinary care and enjoy working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality veterinary care and treatment to a variety of animals, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and welfare.
  • Perform routine check-ups, surgeries, and emergency care as required, utilizing your expertise and experience to make informed decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient, ensuring seamless communication with the veterinary team and owners.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic and delivery of exceptional patient care.
  • Ensure the clinic runs efficiently and effectively during your shifts, prioritizing tasks and managing resources to meet the needs of the team and patients.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Veterinary degree (MRCVS or equivalent) and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the clinic.
  • Experience in both routine and emergency veterinary care, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest advances and best practices in veterinary medicine.
