Senior Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Wolviston Management Services. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions across various sectors, including chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas, and power generation.


Based in Sunderland, this is a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take on a leadership role, driving technical excellence and delivering impactful solutions as a Senior Electrical Engineer. In return, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package.


Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements
  • Provide technical expertise for the specification, design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis for electrical systems
  • Act as Lead Engineer on projects, managing resources and ensuring timely delivery
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to new business proposals
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with electrical standards and quality procedures

You Will Need:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle (Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC) within relevant industries
  • Knowledge of HV and LV systems, and hazardous area equipment design
  • Strong understanding of electrical design standards, safety, and legislation
  • Excellent project management and report writing skills
  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to travel when required
