Teaching Theatre in a Thriving Secondary School

We are seeking an enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join our growing team at a thriving secondary school located in Colchester. This full-time position starts in January and is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive school environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Drama lessons to students at KS3 and KS4.
  • Foster creativity, confidence, and collaboration among students in the performing arts.
  • Contribute to extracurricular Drama activities, productions, and performances.
  • Collaborate with the Drama department and wider teaching team to maintain high standards of learning and engagement.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or has a subject-related degree with proven teaching experience.
  • A vibrant and dynamic Drama Teacher who can inspire students to explore their creativity and perform to their full potential.
  • Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with excellent support available from our incredible Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

  • A competitive salary in line with experience and qualifications: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum.
