Digital Finance Manager

As a key member of the JD Group's finance team, this position plays a crucial role in overseeing end-to-end finance operations for the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a team, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, and implementing controls to maintain the highest standards of financial governance.
Responsibilities- Production of monthly P&Ls and Balance Sheets, requiring a deep understanding of business operations and financials.
- Key contact for stakeholders to explain financial performance and position.
- Management and development of a team of finance professionals.
- Management and production of daily P&Ls, with a focus on variance analysis and supporting daily P&Ls and month-end accounts.
- Ensuring the management accounts team adheres to Digital and Group Finance deadlines.
- Implementation of controls in line with the Group's Financial Controls Programme.
- Production and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support on cost reviews with budget holders.
- Support the Head of Finance with year-end and interim audits.
- Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA accountant with PQE experience.
- Experience of management accounting and working alongside senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and remediate risks.
- Ability to investigate, understand, and explain variances and overall business performance.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize workloads to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Retail industry experience desirable.
- Experience of Oracle Financials and TM1 useful, although training will be provided.
- A positive, flexible, enthusiastic, and driven attitude.
