We are seeking an Atrial Arrhythmia Expert to join our team at St Bartholomew's Hospital. As a key member of our electrophysiology department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, while also contributing to research and innovation in the field of cardiac electrophysiology.

About the Role

This is a substantive consultant position with a defined sub-specialty interest based at St Bartholomew's Hospital. The appointee will work closely with the existing team of consultants to provide specialist care to patients, while also supporting clinical/laboratory research as part of the division's commitment to the goals of the Barts Heart Centre and St Bartholomew's Hospital.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide independent operator for simple and complex ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias
  • To be fully familiar with the use of 3D mapping systems
  • To undertake catheter lab procedures, an outpatient clinic and on call duties

The post-holder will mainly work within the EP department St Bartholomew's Hospital where they will undertake catheter lab procedures, an outpatient clinic and on call duties. In addition, there will be 1-2 PAs at UCL Hospital to run an outpatient clinic.

Requirements
  • Fully trained in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac device implantation
  • All aspects of cardiac electrophysiology and general cardiology
  • Ability to undertake and direct audit with demonstrable understanding of the impact and challenges this brings

A salary of £110,000 - £160,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered for this exciting opportunity.
