Job Overview:

CV Library is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Swadlincote. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and managing technical projects from inception to completion.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Oversee the planning and allocation of workload to ensure timely project delivery.
  • System Design: Perform detailed system designs according to customer specifications.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Lead project meetings and design reviews with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Documentation Approval: Review and approve technical drawings and documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in internal and external First Article Inspections.
  • Project Coordination: Develop and adhere to design timelines in line with customer specifications and project plans.
  • Department Interface: Serve as the primary interface for other departments on project-specific designs.
  • Mentorship: Support and mentor the Design Engineering team, working closely with the Engineering Manager.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Education: A Bachelor's, Master's degree, or equivalent qualification (HNC) in Design, Manufacturing, Production, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of engineering experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD, particularly Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
  • Analysis: Strong technical understanding with the ability to analyze complex data.
  • Management: Demonstrated ability to manage projects and workloads, driving tasks to completion on time.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Team Player: Collaborative with strong communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues across different departments.
  • Organizational Skills: Well-organized, motivated, and adaptable with an open attitude.
  • Language: Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel within the UK and abroad as required.
