We are seeking a skilled and reliable Estate Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at The Smartlist. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with an estimated 40-hour workweek.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of a well-established private country estate, including developed gardens, trees, shrubs, formal hedges, greenhouses, lawns, ponds, and herbaceous beds.

  • General gardening tasks
  • Maintenance of grounds and ensuring all areas surrounding the property are kept neat and tidy
  • Competent use and maintenance of a wide range of hand tools and horticultural machinery

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be hands-on, and happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions. A current driving license is essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Gardening and maintenance tasks
  2. Grounds upkeep and tidiness
  3. Tool and machinery maintenance
  4. Ad hoc duties within the main property
  5. Car valeting and dog-walking duties
Requirements:
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and self-motivated individual
  • Hard-working and adaptable
  • Current driving license
  • Desirable: horticultural and maintenance experience
