Job Title: Engineering Manager - Senior Software Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead our development team in Gillingham, United Kingdom. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions while mentoring junior developers and ensuring code quality.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team as an Engineering Manager - Senior Software Developer. You will be responsible for leading technical decision-making processes, coding reviews, and mentoring junior software engineers in best practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and troubleshoot and debug software issues as they arise.

We are looking for someone with strong leadership and communication skills who can stay up to date with the latest industry trends and integrate new technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement high-performance software applications.
  • Lead technical decision-making processes and code reviews.
  • Mentor and guide junior software engineers in best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues as they arise.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Proven experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
