Chef De Partie Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef De Partie to join our team at Chefs Bay Hospitality. Our client is an 8-bedroom Country Inn with a highly regarded restaurant and bar serving superb traditional pub favourites and seasonal dishes to our 40-cover restaurant and 30-cover bar area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing new dishes and overhauling menus to attract more clientele to the restaurant.
  • Ensure that guests receive excellent and speedy service and enjoy their culinary experience from start to finish.
  • Prepare dishes in a timely and cost-effective way utilising efficient preparation methods such as some pre-prepared or frozen products.
  • Assist with managing the inventory and ordering food stock as needed whilst always maintaining the kitchen's budget and good value for money for the business.
  • Adhere to quality hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Stay up to date with culinary trends and kitchen processes.
  • Comply with all relevant Health & Safety HACCP & Food Safety Standards including a working knowledge of allergens & food intolerances.

Requirements:

  • The ability to constantly perform well in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills to assist with the smooth running of a kitchen.
  • Ambition to progress in the hospitality industry & work closely with a progressive & ambitious team.
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to work on your own occasions.
  • Creativity and good culinary skills to assist in developing an exciting menu.
  • Computer literacy including a working knowledge of relevant software programs such as a point-of-sale system and Microsoft Office.

About Us:

Chefs Bay Hospitality is a privately owned and operated pub without ties to a brewery or franchise. We offer a 40/48 hour week on a rolling rota, with specific days and hours to be discussed. If you are a motivated and experienced Chef De Partie looking for a new challenge, please apply today.
