Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team at a Special Needs School in Stockport. The successful candidate will work closely with students aged 11-16 years old who have complex needs, behavioural challenges, and mental health issues.

About the Role: As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils to engage with their education, building strong relationships and using mentoring skills to help them overcome barriers in the classroom. You will also provide support on a vocational basis, both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with complex needs
  • Build strong relationships with pupils to foster trust and confidence
  • Use mentoring skills to help pupils engage with their education
  • Support pupils on a vocational basis, both in and out of the classroom

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in mentoring children and young adults
  • Experience working in an SEN school or a similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

What We Offer: In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
