Job Summary:

Jagex Limited is seeking an experienced Executive Producer to lead the development of a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire game development process, from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate a clear and compelling vision for the game, aligning with company goals and market trends.
  • Provide strategic leadership and work closely with stakeholders to define the overall strategy, goals, and roadmaps for the project.
  • Oversee the entire game development process, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with producers and the development team to establish and maintain production schedules, resource planning, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of developers, designers, artists, and other professionals to help them achieve their creative and technical goals.
  • Partner effectively across the business on a live operations strategy to enable the commercial success of the title.
  • Own the profit and loss (P&L) for the project, working closely with finance and production teams to allocate resources effectively and optimize development costs.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality throughout the continued development process, ensuring that the game meets or exceeds player expectations.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels and processes between departments and key stakeholders for effective leadership across all teams on the project.
  • Collaborate with marketing, community, and business development teams to create and implement comprehensive market strategies.
  • Advocate for player-centric design principles, ensuring that player feedback is integrated into the development process to create a compelling and engaging MMO experience.
  • Champion the Jagex Culture and Values to foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a hands-on production senior leadership role in live games or games-as-a-service (GaaS).
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of leading on a game, or multiple games, through the entire production cycle, from concept to shipping.
  • Experience growing and supporting a team hands-on from an initial concept/prototyping group, through to full production and live operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of the game development lifecycle, from concept to live operations.
  • A strong, charismatic leader with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate a clear vision and strategy and create drive and motivation among the team.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to make informed decisions to drive project success.
  • A strong interest in MMO games and an understanding of MMO communities and player trends.
