Acorn by Synergie, a leading recruitment partner, is seeking an exceptional Electrical Qualified Engineer to join their team. This exciting opportunity will see the selected candidate working as an Electrical Engineering Specialist, providing expert support to their client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underpin manufacturing performance and support manufacturing improvement and works development plans

• Identify improvement opportunities through collaborative working with relevant groups

• Ensure that changes to plant, process procedures, and organisation are appropriately risk assessed in line with the works management of change process

• Provide engineering expertise and advise to diagnose and correct complex faults in the manufacturing process equipment

• Ensure that Electrical maintenance work undertaken is completed to time and to appropriate safety and Engineering standards

• Develop expertise and keep up to date in maintenance techniques and equipment development applicable to a heavy manufacturing environment through self-study and attendance on appropriate courses

• Provide comprehensive reports on breakdowns, repairs, and related engineering activities where appropriate, recommending improvements to equipment or systems

Requirements:

• Qualified to a minimum HNC level, preferably through a craft apprenticeship in electrical/process control engineering or holding a Modern Apprenticeship certificate

• Relevant plant experience in electrical/process control systems and capable of supervising personnel in the safe execution of engineering repair work

• Good understanding of electrical safety, experience of working with industrial/domestic wiring, ability to interpret electrical drawings, and expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurations

• Experience of digital drives and PLCs, systematic problem-solving approach, SAP knowledge, and basic Microsoft IT skills
