Senior Data Engineer (Google Cloud Platform)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to lead a high-priority migration project to move our legacy data systems to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a key member of our Data Engineering team at Wave Talent, you will design and implement modern data platforms, ensuring data integrity and compliance within a regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration and transformation of data platforms from legacy systems to GCP.
  • Design and build scalable data pipelines using GCP services such as BigQuery, DataFlow, and DataProc.
  • Implement data lineage automation and reusable engineering patterns to ensure data quality and efficiency.
  • Mentor and support the data engineering team, driving best practices and innovation in data engineering products.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data warehousing and ETL.
  • 3+ years of hands-on GCP experience, specifically with data-related services.
  • Proficiency in SQL, and experience with Python or Java is a plus.
