About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Howden Group Holdings. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our software applications using Microsoft Azure, Blazor, and C#.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, high-performing, and user-friendly software applications using Microsoft Azure, Blazor, and C#.
  • Participate in regular agile sessions and work closely with the team to deliver our roadmap.
  • Influence and encourage best practice within the team.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced colleagues to help them progress towards senior.
  • Drive up standards and quality, and maximise throughput of the team through a robust CI/CD mindset.
About You
  • You will have a strong understanding of the broader technological landscape.
  • You will have a strong understanding and demonstrable use of HTML and CSS, C# and Blazor.
  • You will have a keen eye for detail and a focus on putting users first.
  • You will have a defensive mindset when consuming APIs and sanitising user inputs.
  • You will have an understanding of accessibility needs and experience meeting relevant standards.
  • You will have experience with Test-driven Development and a strong commitment to high quality, maintainable and easy to understand code.
  • You will have strong understanding of security.
  • You will have experience of using observability, monitoring tools, and gathering data insights.
  • You will have a strong communicator and facilitator.
  • You will have an experimental and scientific mindset leading to data-led decision making.
  • You will have a strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
  • You will genuinely believe in the value of continuous delivery practices and iterative development based on feedback.
