The Role
We're seeking an Accommodation Procurement Officer to join our Housing Options Accommodation Procurement Team. As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for procuring good quality accommodation for homeless and potentially homeless households, as well as care leavers. You'll work closely with Housing Officers, Through Care Services, the Children's Placement Team, Commissioning Services, and other partners and stakeholders to ensure that properties procured are affordable, suitable, and compliant with legislation.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Procure accommodation for homeless and potentially homeless households, as well as care leavers.
- Work with Housing Officers, Through Care Services, the Children's Placement Team, Commissioning Services, and other partners and stakeholders to ensure that properties procured are affordable, suitable, and compliant with legislation.
- Conduct inspections of properties and establishments to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Provide high-level expert advice to teams and stakeholders on property standards and costs associated with accommodation.
- Manage data and provide accurate and concise reports as required.
