We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Crisis Worker at our Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) in Bicester. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to victims of sexual assault, empowering them to feel in control and supported throughout their journey.
The role involves acting as the advocate for patients, supporting them and their families, and ensuring a high standard of care is maintained. You will also be responsible for administration duties, including preparing patients and assisting with the collection of forensic evidence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and advocacy to patients and their families
- Support the process of preparing patients for forensic examinations and collecting evidence
- Maintain a high standard of DNA anticontamination between forensic cases
- Liaise with other agencies to manage patient pathways
- Assist with administration duties, including data entry and record-keeping
- IT skills and administration experience
- Experience working in a supportive or customer-focused environment
- Kind and caring nature
- Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality
- Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting required
