About the Role

AAK International is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Hull Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing site services facilities to ensure optimal equipment availability and compliance with quality, safety, and health standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure QSHE compliance and uphold maintenance schedules to guarantee equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by improving equipment availability through maintenance and OEE improvement projects.
  • Support and mentor the team with maintenance and continuous improvement technical expertise.
  • Ensure detailed records are maintained of equipment failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the team, engage with others, and be visible within your area of responsibility.
  • Operate industrial steam boilers safely, including starting up and shutting down, daily level testing, and weekly evaporation tests.
  • Maintain and operate water treatment plants, including Legionella control of evaporative/cooling towers.
  • Operate and maintain rotary screw air compressors and maintain effluent metering and chemical dosing equipment.
About You

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification.
  • Experience working in a multi-skilled engineering position.
  • FMCG experience is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to manage and prioritize workloads, with strong attention to detail.
  • A strong team player with the ability to work well on your own initiative.
  • Mentoring experience is advantageous.
