The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at Bournemouth Carlton Hotel, part of the Signature Collection By Best Western. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our hotel rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and inviting for our guests.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Service hotel bedrooms and public areas to company standards and within allocated time frames.
  • Ensure all guest areas are clean and well-maintained, including guest rooms, public areas, linen rooms, and cupboards.
  • Report any damages or breakages promptly to ensure repairs are carried out.
  • Return all equipment to their allotted storerooms at the end of each working day and keep the storerooms and working areas clean and tidy.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of the importance of attention to detail in housekeeping.
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service and taking pride in delivering clean and well-maintained guest rooms and public areas.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, be reliable, punctual, and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Physical fitness to carry out the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods of time, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and good understanding of the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Good eye for detail and ability to spot areas that require extra attention, such as stains or damaged items.
