Job Title: Trainee Electrical Design Engineer

Are you a recent electrical engineering graduate looking to launch your career in the exciting field of High Voltage and Power Earthing? We're seeking a talented Trainee Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nottingham.

As a Trainee Electrical Design Engineer at Omega Red Group, you will be mentored by experienced professionals to develop your skills in the dynamic field of electrical design, particularly in High Voltage and Power Earthing. You will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering team while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and analysis of earthing systems using industry-standard software tools.
  • Support the timely completion of design packages, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with external engineering consultants, assisting in the delegation of work packages that align with in-house activities.
  • Liaise with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) to ensure compliance and quality assurance of designs.
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality design outputs and support the development of least whole-life cost solutions.
Requirements:
  • A passion for electrical design and a desire to learn about High Voltage and Power Earthing Engineering.
  • A relevant degree in Electrical, Civil, or Process Engineering (BEng/MEng) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Good commercial awareness, with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • A full driving licence is required, with the possibility of occasional travel for site visits.
