About the RoleThis is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 12 months with a 1:14 middle grade rota covering Obstetrics and Gynaecology. As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will be working alongside a team of experienced professionals in providing exceptional medical services.
Main Responsibilities- Assisting in Gynaecology theatre sessions
- Participating in Specialist Gynaecological clinics
- Contributing to Obstetrics and Gynaecology emergency care
- Participating in the departments teaching, audit, and educational activities
- Day-to-day running of the emergency Gynaecology, labour ward, obstetric wards, antenatal clinic
To be successful in this role, you should hold a current license to practice from the General Medical Council and have MRCOG part 2 or an equivalent level of qualification. A postgraduate academic degree and College Fellowship are also required. You should have experience of audit and demonstrate an interest in, commitment to, and broad experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Skills and Qualifications- Able to apply sound clinical knowledge and judgement to problems
- Recognition of and ability to undertake the initial management of an acutely ill patient
- Able to evidence engagement with clinical governance and the identification of errors and the learning from errors
- Able to show situational awareness and application of good decision making
- Able to teach clinical skills
We offer a competitive salary range of £73,901 - £112,590 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide numerous opportunities to enhance your skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
