Primary Care Careers is seeking a skilled Dispensary Assistant to join our team. As a Dispensary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dispensary, working closely with our multi-disciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process prescriptions and repeat prescriptions in accordance with the Dispensing Services Quality Scheme.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage ordering, ensuring that our dispensary remains well-stocked and efficient.
  • Provide excellent patient care, answering phone enquiries and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Work collaboratively with the dispensary team to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain your clinical skills, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice.
  • Contribute to the development of our team, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance our patient care.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Diploma Level 2/3 Dispensary or equivalent Pharmacy Services qualification.
  • 2+ years' experience in a dispensary or pharmacy setting.

Desirable

  • Excellent clinical and medication knowledge.
  • Experience of working in a GP practice setting.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, using your own initiative and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
