Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join one of our partner primary schools in Heywood. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering engaging and tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, particularly those with special educational needs.

About the Role

  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the national curriculum while catering to the unique learning needs of students with SEN.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and structured classroom environment using effective behaviour management strategies to encourage respect and learning.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Utilize assessment data to inform future planning and targeted interventions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning for all students.
  • Parent Communication: Establish effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and any concerns, fostering a strong home-school partnership.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your teaching practice and knowledge of SEN.
  • Safeguarding: Uphold and promote the school's safeguarding policies ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Teaching qualification with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a UK primary school setting, particularly with SEN, is required.
  • Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year is desirable; some training will be provided.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
