Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Technical Procurement Specialist to lead our client's purchasing function, ensuring all orders and contracts are delivered on time and within agreed budgets. The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the purchasing function, including request for quotations (RFQs), purchase order generation, stock control, and materials workflow.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, production, and design teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to meet production and project planning needs.
- Manage and lead supplier relations, including expanding the supplier base to support business growth.
- Understand and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Support the Sales and Finance teams with cost requirements.
- Work closely with Design Engineers and Production Managers to coordinate and plan requirements according to project deadlines.
- Develop a coordinated approach to buying, scheduling, and cost management.
