Job Description

Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at Legal & General. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and driving our environmental initiatives and strategy across the London location project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies, energy efficiency, and management plans to reduce our environmental impact.
  • Manage and analyze large datasets to inform environmental decision-making and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, sustainability consultants, architects, and facilities management companies, to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and delivery.
  • Provide expert advice on environmental topics, including sustainable procurement, energy and waste management, and biodiversity, to ensure compliance with policy, procedure, and legal requirements.
  • Develop and manage communication tools to raise awareness and understanding of environmental risks, opportunities, and commitments among employees.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to achieve net-zero targets.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in environmental sustainability, data analysis, and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, regulation, certifications, and sustainability reporting.
  • Ability to conduct data-driven environmental analysis, research, and management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
