Renewable Energy Project Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Equans UK, focusing on renewable energy projects. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our wide range of renewable energy projects, including utility scale solar farms, district heating networks, micro grids, and battery storage facilities.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity involves overseeing the set-up of the supply chain in liaison with the Procurement department, pricing of change through our contract with respect to our clients, our supply chain, and subcontractors. You will also be responsible for initial contract reviews and liaison with Equans' legal teams, agreement of initial contracts through Equans' governance processes, and execution of head contracts.
You will manage and provide project securities such as PCGs and Bonds, with management of these through the Equans governance process. Additionally, you will be responsible for the management of Equans' risk review and monitoring process, compilation of risk matrices, and reporting of risks to the project team and the Business.
Your duties will include the compilation and reporting of summary commercial data on the projects to the Business, working with the project team to assist with reports required by the Business, management of disputes with respect to our Contract with our Client, and contractual arrangements with our supply chain and subcontractors.
You will prepare and submit Equans payment applications to our clients, agreeing any payment disputes, managing WIP and debt levels on the project, assessing subcontractor payments, issuing contract notifications and certificates for payment, and agreeing final accounts.
You will also assist with the development and management of short- and long-term forecasts, production of revised Business Forecasts and End of Site reports, and the production of Earned Value Reports as part of Business Forecasts and End of Site reporting.
Requirements- Must have previous experience within the energy or building services and hold a relevant Quantity Surveyor qualification at HNC/HND or degree level.
- Understanding of NEC or FIDIC.
- Previous experience of managing and leading teams, with ability to motivate staff essential.
- Able to work closely with colleagues across the business, embracing change and new ways of working.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, and confident dealing with internal customers and Clients.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages and databases.
Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on location and experience. Generous holiday allowance, company share scheme, 2 paid volunteering days a year, cycle to work scheme, season ticket loan, employee assistance programme, and paid professional membership (MRICS/MCIOB).
