The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Logistics Operative to join our Manufacturing Team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the manufacturing process, ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and store goods inwards, ensuring accurate inventory levels
  • Load and unload vehicles using a counterbalance forklift, maintaining a safe working environment
  • Pick raw material stock as required, replenishing stock levels on a daily basis
  • Monitor and control raw materials, recording supplier delays and notifying relevant parties
  • Take care of allocated company equipment, ensuring it is in good working order
  • Support the preparation of products for despatch, ensuring they are packaged and handled correctly
  • Ensure all goods in/despatch paperwork is submitted to relevant internal parties in a timely manner
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A full UK driving licence to travel between business sites
  • A valid forklift licence (internal training provided if necessary)
  • Previous experience in a busy goods in/despatch environment
  • Proven ability to adhere to strict production deadlines
  • An understanding of computerized stock control systems
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good computer skills with the ability to update systems accurately and efficiently
  • The ability to provide clear and concise communications
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to work additional hours if needed
