Flood Risk Specialist

This role offers a $90,000 - $120,000 per annum salary, depending on experience. Based in Exeter, you will be part of a busy, award-winning consultancy working on various projects across the Southwest region. As a Senior/Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will work closely with colleagues to deliver results within budget and timeframe.
The Role Overview
This position involves leading a wide variety of development projects, collaborating with Transport Planning and Infrastructure teams, conducting flood risk assessments, and overseeing team members.
- Liaise interdepartmentally to ensure seamless project execution
- Develop and implement effective flood risk management strategies
- Produce high-quality reports and provide expert advice
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to enhance their skills
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations
- Foster a culture of quality and excellence within the team
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrable experience in flood risk and drainage engineering
- Knowledge of flood risk assessment processes and procedures
- A passion for delivering high-quality results and taking on new challenges
