Sponsored Programs Administrator Job Summary

The Sponsored Programs Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the administrative and technical functions associated with grants from external funding sources that support research, clinical trials, and other sponsored activities at Intermountain Healthcare. This role requires a high level of expertise in grants management, including grant proposals, applications, compliance, contract negotiation, budget, monitoring, and evaluation. The Sponsored Programs Administrator acts as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external sponsors, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective project management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidance related to grants and contracts management.
  • Request additional and supplemental approvals from funding sponsors when required by a grant or contract.
  • Evaluate complex proposals, awards, and agreements for compliance and consistency with federal and state laws, institutional policies, and agency policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate complex terms and conditions with external entities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 2 years relevant research administration and grants management experience or 6-8 years of experience within research administration and grants management.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
  • Must have solid judgment and capacity to exercise discretion to resolve ambiguity and promote effective solutions.

Estimated Salary: $40.02 - $63.03 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include a generous package covering various programs to foster a sustainable culture of wellness.
