We are seeking an exceptional Visitor Services Coordinator to join our team at the University of Leeds. This is a key role that will enable us to deliver outstanding service delivery and remove barriers to access for our diverse range of visitors.

About the Role: As a Visitor Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality services and spaces across our research collections and galleries. You will work closely with curatorial staff on collections management and engagement work, ensuring duties are balanced against priorities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality visitor services and experiences across our research collections and galleries.
  • Work collaboratively with curatorial staff on collections management and engagement work.
  • Manage a team of staff responsible for the daily operation of our research and teaching support services and gallery spaces.
  • Ensure that our visitor services team offers a warm and welcoming environment to all our gallery visitors.

  • 26 days holiday plus approx. 16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) – That's 42 days a year.

Requirements:

  • You will have substantial experience of working in a library, cultural or heritage collections environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering excellent customer service and continuous service improvement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to represent and advocate for the service both internally and externally.
