Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified company secretary/solicitor or equivalent experience with a degree-level qualification to join our team as a Governance and Compliance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to build your career in governance and compliance, working in a senior role reporting directly to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advice and support to the Executive Team and the Group's Boards and Committees
- Lead a small team responsible for governance, regulatory and legal compliance, data protection, insurance and risk management
- Work on a broad array of matters, including company constitutions and group governance arrangements
- Manage stakeholders at all levels, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Develop and implement effective governance and compliance strategies
- Qualified company secretary/solicitor or equivalent experience with a degree-level qualification
- Previous experience in a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of company constitutions and group governance arrangements
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail
- Annual leave increasing with length of service up to a maximum of 28 days, plus bank holidays (pro rata for part-time employees)
