Senior Backend Developer Lead

Join Context Labs as a Senior Backend Developer Lead and take charge of driving forward our product initiatives with the Immutably Platform and analytics spaces. As a leader within the development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of distributed ledger services, APIs, and related product capabilities.

About the Role:
• Lead the development team as a technical authority on backend development and distributed systems.
• Develop and maintain distributed ledger APIs and services for use within the Immutably Platform.
• Collaborate with other development teams and the product owner to define and estimate business requirements and translate these into specific software tasks.
• Lead hands-on software development of Scrivener and related projects using multiple programming languages (minimally JVM).
• Collaborate as a member of an agile team to develop and complete products with best-in-class software development practices.

About You:
• Strong understanding of modern application architectures and experience in developing distributed systems.
• Proficiency in unit and functional testing, with great communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Experience in implementing security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of persistent data.
• Familiarity with protocols such as RAFT, BFT, Gossiping, DHT, and CRDT, and databases such as Apache CouchDB, Cockroach DB, Foundation DB, and Kafka.
• Experience with disparate Java frameworks such as Spring/Quarkus/Helidon etc., and proficiency with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent RDBMS.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
