Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics in Portsmouth. As a Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Teacher in the classroom and providing physical, emotional, and nurturing support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavioural support to students in a Portsmouth Primary School setting
  • Work closely with the Teacher to develop and implement strategies to support student progress
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to maintaining a stable, happy, and caring environment that prioritizes the health, safety, care, and welfare of students

Requirements:

  • Strong behavioural management skills
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships with students and staff
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve common goals
  • Patience, commitment, and a genuine desire to help others
