Senior Shift Leader

Mars is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Shift Leader to join our team in Slough, Berkshire, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead an operations shift team to deliver priority KPIs through effective prioritization, escalation, and decision-making.
  • Provide line management for a team of operations associates, allocating work, managing crewing levels, and driving flexible working.
  • Build a high-performing team through developing associates individually and within the team.
  • Drive the engagement of associates through coaching and impact planning, developing associates through effective PDP management.
  • Develop and lead factory-wide business communication, working with management and support functions to deliver effective messaging and feedback.
  • Collaborate to lead and partner in Continuous Improvement and OPEX projects, driving improvements in efficiency and other line KPIs.
  • Role model the FMOS and DMS processes, leading root cause analyses and coaching associates.
Requirements:
  • Excellent standards of numeracy and literacy, preferably to A-level standard (or equivalent).
  • Experience of line management is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • A strong communicator with a demonstrated ability to relate to all people at all levels, from a variety of backgrounds and to confront difficult and challenging situations as required.
