Primary School Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Derby. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils in a Primary School class, working closely with teachers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in a Primary School class, including those with special educational needs
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Providing individualized support to pupils, including reading, writing, and numeracy
  • Engaging in learning activities and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Confidently handling personal care and hygiene tasks

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / Childcare qualification
  • Experience working in a Primary School setting (3+ months)
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Ability to engage in learning activities and promote a positive learning environment
