Nursery Room Leader
At Willing Care, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team. As a key member of our nursery staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children, leading a specific room within the nursery, and ensuring the well-being and holistic development of the children in their care.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Qualifications: Hold a Level 3 in Early Years or above
- Experience: Demonstrable experience working in a nursery setting, with a solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its practical application
- Leadership skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a team of early years practitioners and support staff effectively
- Safeguarding: In-depth knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery
- Nurturing approach: Display a nurturing and inclusive approach to working with children, families, and colleagues to create a harmonious and supportive environment
- Time management: Able to effectively prioritize and manage workload, ensuring a balanced focus on providing a nurturing and educational environment for children

Your key responsibilities as a Nursery Room Leader will include:
- Leading and managing a designated room: Lead and effectively manage a designated room within the nursery, taking responsibility for the overall care and education of the children in your care
- Creating a safe environment: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children can flourish and reach their full potential
- Developing activities: Develop and implement a rich variety of age-appropriate activities and experiences that are tailored to support the learning and developmental needs of the children following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Fostering partnerships: Foster strong and collaborative partnerships with parents and families, ensuring open and respectful communication to support the well-being and progress of each child
- Mentorship and support: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to nursery staff, promoting a positive and cohesive team dynamic while upholding high standards of care and education
- Recording progress: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of each child's progress and development, in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Collaborating with colleagues: Work closely with colleagues to uphold a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all children
