Transport Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to lead our transportation department and ensure the efficient delivery of goods. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with our transport suppliers to secure the best service at the most cost-effective price.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage transportation operations to meet our delivery deadlines.
  • Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to optimize our logistics operations.
  • Monitor and control transport costs and performance to maintain our transport margins.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards to protect our business and reputation.
  • Lead and manage a team of Transport Management Specialists to achieve our business objectives.
  • Coordinate with clients and suppliers to meet their transportation needs and build strong relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities and prepare reports to inform our business decisions.
  • Develop and implement new business initiatives and projects related to transportation.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience as a Transport Manager or in a similar role with a strong track record of success.
  • Experience in people management and team development to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, logistics, and carrier insurance requirements.
  • Experience in leading RFQs with potential new clients and negotiating contracts.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
