We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Planner to join our team at Emtech Recruitment. As a key member of our transportation planning team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality transportation planning projects across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain, analyze, and interpret traffic data from various external sources to inform transportation planning decisions.
- Appraise development sites in terms of their accessibility by different transport modes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Produce high-quality reports, including technical notes, transport statements, transport assessments, environmental statement chapters, and travel plan reports, either in part or in full.
- Design highway improvement schemes, taking into account safety, efficiency, and environmental considerations.
- Manage your own projects and clients, with support and training provided as needed.
- A degree qualification in a relevant field, such as transportation planning, urban planning, or civil engineering.
- A thorough understanding of the principles of transportation planning and a proven track record of delivering high-quality input.
- Excellent presentation and technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- The ability to manage your time effectively to meet project deadlines and budgets.
- Proficiency in using relevant industry-standard software packages, such as transportation planning software and geographic information systems.
- An understanding of the application of highway design standards, guidance, and policy.
